Surrounded by the Blatenska upland and the Svihovska and Vserubska highlands, by the Drnovy creek. Founded by king Premysl Otakar II, one of the richest cities in Bohemia during the Renaissance. The Sumava gate, now the second largest city in the Plzensky region with a developed food, woodworking and optical industry. A unique city monument reserve with a characteristic Cerna tower and the neighboring white church of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary and st. Ignac.
